I bought this speaker with a hope that it would be noticeably better than the stock one, which is poor in my opinion. But really, this is a night and day difference! I wasn't expecting that much of a change. I am very happy, it exceeded my expectations. If one does not hear a difference then they don't need HK sound system in the first place - they are just insensitive to quality sound.
I was actually shocked at what a huge improvememt the Hertz stage1 competition was over the stock middle speaker. Unlike most speakers i have had in tge past connected to factory head unit the speaker sounds better the louder I turn it up. Unfortunately I’m now getting used to it and need to keep upgrading🤣
I can see improvement just replacing this speaker. On my 2024 VW GTI 380 SE. Everything is more clear and sounds nicer. I am looking forward to be doing more business with this company.
Absolutely transformative! I went from wanting to pull out the entire stereo to being completely happy with this single speaker fix. You really don’t know *what* it is, but the factory stereo sounded quite bad…
After some sleuthing, apparently, the centre speaker was the culprit. I found this very hard to believe that the entire stereo system could be fixed with a single speaker, but for the price - I was willing to try.
Suddenly the entire soundstage sounded so clear and crisp and just *quality*
With some further tweaking of the factory EQ; I am now very pleased with the Mk8.5 sound system. Worth every dollar.
The first thing any new golf owner should do is pull the center speaker and replace it with a higher end after market part. Rs has you this replacement is night and day.
