Introducing the RS Acoustics SUBWOOFER GR8!!
Our first ever Plug&Play Subwoofer upgrade specifically for the MK8/MK8.5 Golf R/GTI equipped with the Harman Kardon (HK) System only. Just unplug the stock plastic subwoofer, remove the screw post, lay the new subwoofer in place, connect & enjoy!!
At the heart of the GR8 Subwoofer is the excellent and compact GLADEN GAMMA GS08 bass driver. This 8" woofer features a dual-2ohm voice coil configuration to effectively maximize the performance of the subwoofer using the stock HK amplifier power/wiring. The solid MDF subwoofer enclosure (sealed) construction measures 16"x16x"4" to fit seamlessly under the trunk lid OR tucked up in the trunk while also minimizing loss of space in the boot. (extension harness required).
The GR8 Subwoofer comes with (4) 3D printed feet with velcro on the bottom to firmly secure it to the carpeting in the trunk.
**Must remove spare tire for under trunk lid**
Add the extension harness to cart if you wish to run it above the trunk lid in the boot with the HK wiring.

Waited for a month to write my review, very happy with my purchase, between the center speaker replacement and the GR8, I'm very satisfied with the audio in the 8R, tight clean and punchy bass, had it for a month and no regrets.
