They sound great, better than the original ones. I'm sure they will last a lot longer as well.
Absolutely perfect, sound is awesome compared to factory and perfectly built. Phillip is great at answering any questions you may have, will definitely get the rear door kit as well!
Quilty of the 3D printed adaptor is spot on (I especially like the RS customs badge). I only bought bass LVL1 and there is already a substantial improvement to my sound system. Much clearer mids and far deeper bass. The only bad thing I have to say is that Phil will probably end up getting more of my money as I am so pleased with this product!
It is hard to describe the sound after installing the BASS LVL1 door speakers. I combined these with the Stage 1 Front Speakers, and the sound is monumentally different. After installing these and examining the difference between the B&O speaker mechanics and engineering, I would decidedly never spend the money on a premium OEM system ever again.
RS Acoustics describes the sound difference as "lifting a blanket". This is a disservice to their products, as the sound is far more than that description.
After listening to my tunes with these "entry-level" upgrades, the only way I can describe the sound of the old B&O "premium" speakers is this: it is as if you're trying to remember something from a fading dream.
These upgrades have beautiful, rounded musical curves, previously unheard dynamics, and such a substantial increase in auditory pleasure.
A couple of notes that have nothing to do with the RS-Acoustic products. Do your YouTube research on how to remove the B8/8.5 doors and dash speakers. The trim is well seated and requires some force and finess to remove them. The dash speakers are super tight and can be frustrating. Get the right tools, and it will be far easier. It can be an anxiety-inducing process simply because you think you might break something. However, you won't if you do your research and take your time. With the older cars, the plastic can be brittle, so take your time. Also, get a heavy-duty trim removal kit, not a cheap nylon/plastic kit. You will thank yourself later.
My only issue, which has nothing to do with RS-Acoustics, is that I now cannot hear the whine of the supercharger, nor the radar detector.
Amazing bass from the front 2 doors alone sounds incredible
